This Friday, December 9th, the Central Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association (CFRSA) announced their 2017 President, Jared Mellick. Among celebrations, food and festivities, the holiday party culminated with the swearing in of all of next year’s CFRSA officers.
Mellick is president of Universal Roofing Group. Inc. which is comprised of Universal Contracting, Universal Roof & Contracting as well as the newest addition to the corporation, Renewal by Andersen of Central Florida. He has been a member of this highly regarded trade organization for 15 years, and was nominated by reputable industry professionals - including FRSA - when he first took office as CFRSA Treasurer in 2014. Jared, along with fellow officers and members, will uphold and ensure the high industry standards this roofing and construction trade organization promotes.
The CFRSA was established in 1955 as an affiliate of the Florida Roofing Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors Association (FRSA). With similar goals, CFRSA deals with the issues that affect members on the local level. Comprised of licensed roofing and sheet metal contractors, industry suppliers, and manufactures, CFRSA goals include educating and connecting members with local building officials improving knowledge of laws and codes and establishing productive and cooperative relationships. Interaction with the FRSA (Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Association) keeps the growing number of CFRSA officers and members informed on a state-wide level as members and contractors share their knowledge and insight among each other. Through this and active community involvement, the image of the roofing industry is enhanced and a better working environment is achieved.
The CFRSA Mission Statement:
To promote professionalism, competency, and quality workmanship in the roofing trade through qualified membership, informative and effective programs and community awareness; thereby establishing the roofing profession as a viable force in the central Florida construction industry and enhancing the image of the roofing profession to local government and the general public.
